Dead and Slaughter are off to the high country with a stay at the Overlook in beautiful Colorado. Have a listen to our thoughts on the importance of this film and where we think it ranks against the others that we have discussed already.

Dad and Sam head in to deep space with the crew of the Nostromo to answer a supposed distress call. In reality we are on our way to enjoying one of the best science fiction/monster horror movies of all time. 1979's Alien has held up incredibly well and Sigourney Weaver's Ellen Ripley remains one of the iconic badass women of film. We are joined by amateur horror film maker Rion Smith to discuss the importance of this classic in the oeuvre.

Dead and Slaughter

Clever and educational podcast that will change your perspective on scary movies and inspire a view of the shinning or other classics that inflict deep psychological horror, as Dad and Sam explain articulately what this is by analyzing a 1960s classic in this episode. They include the history and art of film making that will deepen your appreciation of older films and having your mind focus on the analysis of it all may numb some of the fear and anxiety that usually scares me away from these films in the first place! Some more dad and daughter banter may be appreciated by some :)
